vacation on my mind.

My head is already on vacation. Does this happen to you before you go on a big trip? I’ve been mentally gone for about two weeks now {though my husband might say it’s been WAY longer…ha!}. Anyhow, we are on our way to our most favorite place in Mexico for a little relaxation…it’s a little town called Sayulita. No resorts & no chain restaurants…just a sparkly-golden beach and a whole lot of relaxation. We took the picture above on our trip to Sayulita last year. I’ll come back with lots of things to post about…I already have some great things in my queue {like a DIY post from Kelly at Make, Grow, Gather}…and there are always a ton of handmade goodies from Mexico to share! Have a great week everyone! I’ll catch up with you all on April 6!

I love pretty much everything in Feral Girl’s shop. Everything. Especially the brown and blue bag {above, left}. Creator, Danielle makes it all herself! Mad skills this girl has! She uses remnants from larger manufacturers in most of her bags, and no exotic leathers. I love her colors, and the simplicity of her designs. Trying to decide which one I must have.

Crywolf Clothing has been an advertiser of mine for quite a while now, and I thought I’d finally get around to posting a bit about their work. Creators Rose and Stephanie are Toronto based art school grads who make some great wearable art. I think their logo is really cool {the purple-ish guy’s shirt, above}, and I especially love their sweet penguin.  They have goods for men, women, and kids too!

The gals from Crywolf are having a giveaway right now, too. They are looking for a name for their newest spring design, and will give you the first print of the tee if you can think of the most creative name! Check out all the details here {but do it by March 31st!}.

honey pot.

I put honey on everything {my newest fave is on greek yogurt}. I usually buy a big jug of it from the local farmers market, and it doesn’t last long in our house. The problem is, pouring the honey from the jug onto a peanut butter sandwich makes a mess of EPIC proportions. So, I recently set out to find a sweet little container for our honey. Seattle based Barbara Dunshee pottery is where I found the perfect little pot! It’s like the little cream-colored pot above, and I just love it! The shape is perfect, and the little ball on top is such a nice touch. Barbara is quite the accomplished artist. Her entire shop is filled with beautiful pieces. I absolutely adore her green and red color combinations, and her “Lively Lidded Vessels” are stunning.

All of the cute bags and things from  Sweetgum Handbags are crafted by Kim in North Carolina. She’s an ecology grad student by day, seamstress by night. I couldn’t choose a favorite from the bags {and ipod holder} above. I love them all. She uses some nice fabrics too…even repurposed upholstery fabrics!
