Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Just thought I’d let you know that I’m taking a blogging break for a few more days…my mother and father-in-law are visiting from New Mexico, and we’re packing in lots of sightseeing, and time to visit. That’s us at the Cubs game yesterday…{me with hat head}.
I’ll be back on Wednesday with a contest, and a sweet little indie shop!
I love these pillows from North Carolina based, SOWN. I love the interesting pieces cut out and paired with other fabric. It gives them such a modern feel…but they still look cozy enough to curl up with! Really quite fabulous.
I absolutely love the jewelry from Local Library. Love it. And since I’m pretty sure that my own local library’s east wing was built with my late fees {why can’t I remember to return books?!!}…it’s nice to be able to visit a Local Library without cringing!! I learned about this lovely jewelry from the blog Melissa Loves {by the way…I could easily swipe each item that is posted on her blog, and put it here…love her style}. I had a really tough time narrowing down the pieces to show. The necklace on the top center is my very favorite. I’d love to buy a few to layer. Hmm…someone has got a birthday coming up….{let’s hope my hubby happens to read this post}…
I’ve never been much of a designer handbag girl. Though, I do have a Hayden Harnett that I’ve carried for over a year now…and I occasionally lust over Chloe bags. Other than that, I tend to go for whatever happens to catch my eye.
Our booth at last week’s show was across from Brynn, handbag designer extroradinaire. Brynn offers handbags made in Chicago, and designed by herself. Brynn bags are really well made, the leather is buttery, and her style is simple and stylish. I especially love the bag on the top left.
I didn’t realize until I read her “about me” section that she’s a California girl too…I’ll have to have a little chat with her about that!
Another one of the wonderful vendors I got to meet this past weekend is Julie from Juliet Jewelry. We shared lots of great stories…what a fantastic person she is! We also share the same favorite quirky movie: “Harold and Maude”…
I really hope you can tell by the photos just how gorgeous her jewelry is. Her booth was right next to ours, so it was VERY dangerous for me to be so close to such lovely things. Her pieces called to me {“Stacy…buy me” is what they were saying}. I love the necklace in the center of the picture above …and I’ve worn the piece I bought from her every day this week.
