I thought it appropriate to follow my “it’s-freezing-outside-let’s-see-some-scarves” post with an “I’m-dreaming-of-springtime-and-some-cutie-handmade-flats” post.

SMARTFISH handcrafted shoes are all vegan, use no adhesives, lined with organic bamboo, are created with sustainable processes, and are made to be durable…Oh, and did I mention, they are made by hand?! Yep. The sweet hemp and blue embroidered pair is calling my name. Love!!

But, for now, I have to stick to boots and super-thick socks. Boo.

I have learned, in the 9+ years of living in the ice-freeing-cold-midwest, that winter accessories are a MUST! When there are sub-zero temps outside, going without a hat, gloves, scarf AND earmuffs means that I will, no doubt, be frozen and grumpy!

I LOVE the neckwarmer I bought from ForEvaMore {above, right}. Learned about her cute knit items from the fabulous Handmade in PA blog. It’s just as cozy and cute as it looks. Love her little “poufik” pillows too…

Eninaj has absolutely stunning jewelry. Janine, the artist, {her biz name is hers spelled backwards} was born in Uruguay, and has lived in Switzerland, Panama…and now lives with her family in Israel. Her worldly travels must influence her beautiful work…it’s really quite incredible. It’s hard for me to choose a favorite…but I think it might be the silver necklace {above, left}

Now I’m ready for a trip to an exotic place…anyone want to join me?!

Hurrah for the internet!! I just love getting to know gals from far-flung places…like Puppy and Chris from Chria, in Brazil. They are long-time readers of my blog, and have a super cute blog of their own, as well as an online shop. Their shop oozes with cuteness…pillows, purses, scrapbooks…lots of hearts, flowers and bright colors, all handmade with incredible detailing. I asked for some photos, and they sent me the layout above! They also make custom nurse uniforms…adorable!

Everything is so festive…get me out of this freezing cold and off to Brazil!
