Today was a big day for me…I bought myself a serger sewing machine….and I’m crazy excited about it! I can’t wait to finish my post so I can go play with my new toy…I’m completely geeked out!

…Which brings me to the incredible fabrics by Daisy Janie. Designer Jan DiCintio {of Scoutie Girl fame} uses such fresh color combinations, and I adore her designs. She uses organic cotton sateen & organic cotton/hemp blend canvas. Really wonderful fabric for whatever crafty project you may have! Once I teach myself how to use my new machine, I look forward to ordering some fabulous fabric! What should I make?

I first saw these cute crocheted letter pillows on the blog Swiss Miss. I think they are cute…and they work perfectly with my love of letters {“g” being my very fave…yes, I have a favorite letter}. I was welcomed back home with freezing cold weather and snow! Vacation is officially OVER. We had a blast, and I wanted to share my favorite store from the little village of Sayulita, Mexio, where we stayed. It’s called Gypsy Galeria, and is cram-packed with local handcrafts. They have a ton of oilcloth goods {all my photos turned out with an ugly reflection}, Frida Kahlo’s mug is on anything you can imagine, beautiful handwovens, all of the crafts are displayed beautifully, and it’s just steps from the beach. What I love the most is that everything in the shop is hand selected. It’s not just the same ‘ol tourist crap, and it satisfies my need to buy a few cute things while I’m away. I miss it already.

I love Chicago based Sew Bettie! Owners Mark and Cara {and their dog/muse Bettie} offer great limited-edition fabric, tees, DIY kits and sweet pincushions on their online shop. My very fave is the bulldog fabric {and it’s limited edition…so if you like it, buy some before it’s gone!}. Their kits would make a great gift for that crafty person on your list too! I love to have a few of the little dishtowels from artgoodies in my cupboard to give as hostess gifts. They are so sweet, and are tied with a green satin ribbon. I can’t have any of these cute towels to use in my own kitchen, because a particular family member {AHEM} has the tendency to take towels and use them for counter-wiping, or as a dirty-hand scraper-offer. Oh well! Creator Lisa Price also has sweet aprons, little pillows and ornaments. Check out her Etsy shop as well!

Zooguu {by sweetest pea} is a site filled with adorable plush all handmade for you by Jen and Brian Gubicza. My very favorite is the little penguin. So so cute! Shh…don’t tell my niece…this will be part of her Christmas present! She also has a shop on Etsy.

In the spirit of Halloween, I thought I’d take a look at one of my favorite little trends…the mustache! {even though none of these items are Halloween-y}. One of my favorite design blogs, Decor 8 was WAY ahead of me to catch on to this trend…click here to see her post about it. Thought I’d do my part to spread the mustache love.

The mustache pencils are from ATYPYK I love the variations {Salvador, Zorro, Burt, Django and Clark}. Hysterical! Atypyk is a super cool site too, by the way.

The mustache magnets are from Nice Designs. Love these! Plenty of other funky magnets and things on her site.

The glassware is from Bread and Badger. They have lots of other cute etched glassware too…I especially love the robots!

Last but not least are the handkerchiefs from Avril Loreti. Her site is filled with fantastic little napkins and handkies {check out the chairs, and fortunes on cocktail napkins!!}.

I swear I’m not daschund/weener obsessed…this post isn’t about stuff for your pooch at all. Three different friends who went to three different craft/art faires over the summer brought me the business card from Weener Ware and told me that I should blog about it. So, here goes! Weener Ware has little bits of art in a bottle cap. Any of their designs can be made into pins, necklaces, ornaments, magnets and {my fave} rings. I love the Frida and Corazon designs the very best…oh, maybe the bicycle. Can’t decide. The photos don’t do them justice, by the way. Cute stuff!
