What fantastic ceramics from Colorado based artist, Elizabeth Robinson. I love her mix of patterns, and her color combos…that little splash of teal-blue {the one that matches my site!!}…and that mug!!! I think it may have the most perfect shape.

I’m completely enamored by Nancy Bauch’s ceramics. Her studio is called White Forest Pottery and has so many absolutely gorgeous pieces! Each of them has such an organic quality…and, of course, I love how the colors match my blog!!

Nancy also takes part in the Water Mala project. I bought one of her little water mala bowls {bottom, right} which sits on my kitchen windowsill.

campervans + pillows. http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/05/campervans-pillows/ http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/05/campervans-pillows/#comments Thu, 27 May 2010 00:25:07 +0000 http://nonpareilblog.com/?p=1501 Helena Carrington has drawn, quite possibly, one of my very favorite illustrations ever: the campervan. I’m smitten. You can buy it in either a pillow or a card..but I love the little pillows! Her other work is fantastic as well…little fiats, “camping in Paris”, and photos from Italy and France are all just splendid!

yoga + ceramics. http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/05/yoga-ceramics/ http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/05/yoga-ceramics/#comments Mon, 17 May 2010 21:53:51 +0000 http://nonpareilblog.com/?p=1480

I was recently searching Etsy for “yoga wear”, and stumbled upon the fabulous ceramics by YogaGoat {named after the artist’s doodle of a goat doing yoga}…I love the lotus designs {can you tell? four out of the 6 photos have the lotus}…and also love the beautiful periwinkle blue that she uses. Gorgeous.

And, how fabulous would the porcelain fortune cookies be as wedding favors?!

love, california. http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/05/love-california/ http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/05/love-california/#comments Fri, 07 May 2010 19:32:34 +0000 http://nonpareilblog.com/?p=1462

I probably go on and on WAY too much about how much I miss California…the weather, the beach…blah blah blah!! And for that, I’m sorry. Well, sort of.

I’m always thrilled when I find handmade goodies that have to do with my home state. Love, California is no exception. The stately pillows are super cute! And, if your state isn’t listed in her shop, she’ll make it for you. Her shop is also a test of my rudimentary state-recognition skills. Am I smarter than a 5th grader? No.

feel-good laundry. http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/04/feel-good-laundry/ http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/04/feel-good-laundry/#comments Wed, 14 Apr 2010 21:02:12 +0000 http://nonpareilblog.com/?p=1425

Laundry is my LEAST favorite household job. It’s awful. The sorting, the stain-removing, the folding, the putting-away. URGH!

I’m going to sound a bit like a commercial here, but I love Eco Everyday laundry soap! I was sent a few samples, and was pleasantly surprised! The scent is mild and fresh, without being perfume-y. And our clothes came out clean! My daughter is allergic to most scented soaps and lotions, but wasn’t bothered by the natural fragrances in this environmentally friendly soap {they do offer an unscented version too, just in case}. So, even though you may be stuck with doing the laundry, you can at LEAST feel a little better about it!

Eco Everyday explains all about the natural qualities of their soap in their shop.

These sweet pillows are from Three Red Apples and are made by a French ex-pat living in Devon, UK…I like her mix of vintage, repurposed, and new fabrics as well as the embroidered words {or chickens!!}. And don’t they just scream SPRING?!!

{thanks to  Bettyjoy’s blog for finding these…I just had to share them here too!}

handpainted porcelain. http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/02/handpainted-porcelain/ http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/02/handpainted-porcelain/#comments Wed, 03 Feb 2010 17:14:26 +0000 http://nonpareilblog.com/?p=1306

The detail on the ceramics from Cynthia Vardhan Ceramics blow me away. Each piece is handcrafted and handpainted from a “proprietary fine translucent porcelain” that the artist formulates and mixes herself. Fancy! The vases are so sweet, and priced well, too…$40…and would make a really nice gift for a girlfriend/sister/mom! Love!

handmade brazilian sweetness. http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/01/handmade-brazilian-sweetness/ http://nonpareilblog.com/2010/01/handmade-brazilian-sweetness/#comments Tue, 19 Jan 2010 23:37:11 +0000 http://nonpareilblog.com/?p=1280

Hurrah for the internet!! I just love getting to know gals from far-flung places…like Puppy and Chris from Chria, in Brazil. They are long-time readers of my blog, and have a super cute blog of their own, as well as an online shop. Their shop oozes with cuteness…pillows, purses, scrapbooks…lots of hearts, flowers and bright colors, all handmade with incredible detailing. I asked for some photos, and they sent me the layout above! They also make custom nurse uniforms…adorable!

Everything is so festive…get me out of this freezing cold and off to Brazil!
