PHEW! I took a much longer break than I had intended…I’ve been paying the price for having a ton of fun while on vacation…I have had a nasty cold for the past week…Bleh.
Amazingly, while we were in Sedona, I did ABSOLUTELY no shopping. NONE. Zilch. Zippo. It’s hard for me to believe, really. We just hiked around the beautiful red rock, cooked gobs of food, drank wine and hot-tubbed under the stars….
I DID find a wonderful online-jeweler who is BASED in Arizona…does that count?! I’ve been a fan of Starving Artist Bazaar for years, and her work has been featured on pretty much EVERY indie blog out there…but I just had to share too! I love lampwork beads, and especially the pieces she creates!
We braved some {COLD} summer showers on Saturday to go to the Wells Street Art Festival in Chicago. Fortunately, for us and the vendors, the rain cleared up before too long. While we were there, I made some great finds {and my husband and kids get the “most patient family award”}! My favorite finds were the silk screened, fused glass pieces by Kiku Handmade. I love love the coaster set…and the bike…so cute! Make sure to check out her etsy shop too!

I’m drawn to beach glass, and that’s how I first came across Twigs and Heather…the colored glass paired with sterling silver is beautiful. There are so many nice pieces to chose from on their site. I love the mix of earthy pieces and funky, modern ones. Here’s how Heather and Kerry Alice Collins describe their jewelry: “Our unique collection is part forest finds, part rock star and part silly romantic.”
