I’ve posted about Baggu bags before, but just had to post again…because they have ADORABLE limited-edition heart bags for Valentine’s Day. They come with a little card, too. Perfect for you’re eco-minded Valentine! I always keep a couple of these bags in my purse…so no matter where I go, I can use cloth instead of plastic {despite the frequent eye-rolls from baggers or sales clerks}. They are super strong too. I just can’t say enough. Oh, and when you order, ask them to send you a stack of business cards, because every-other time you go to the grocery store, someone will ask where you got them.
Swiss Miss blog {a fave of mine} posted about the fabulous Multifont belt buckle by Steel Toe Studios a few weeks ago. I have a bit of a typeface fetish, so of course I love it. I was glad to find some other really cool things on the Steel Toe site. Belts make of upcycled bicycle tubes & buckles made of recycled bike cogs…some {like the one above} act as a beer opener too. Helping with the planet, and making it easier to quench your thirst is definitely a win-win! Also, check out their goods for the home at Steel Toe Home.
I’ve had a tough time finding indie clothing that I really like…clothes that I would actually wear myself…until now! Econica has some really nice handmade pieces…I love the grass green and burnt red colors on the dresses {above}. She uses organic fabrics on most of her designs, and her prices are reasonable! That’s a win-win if you ask me! Also check out her organic baby shop {Organic by Nature} here. Sweet!
Chicago based Noon Solar designs stylish bags with solar panels built into one side. The panel charges a little battery which can charge your phone or ipod! It’s a great idea! Not only are they functional, but the material is hand dyed with natural dyes, and are crafted from biodegradable material. I adore the cream bag {above right}. Beautiful!
I love the pillows and things at Tiny Decor. This stay-at-home-mom run shop offers modern designs and uses organic fabrics, bamboo filling and non-toxic inks in her line of goods {hurrah for being green!}. I especially love the big floor pillows. I’d love to stack up a few of those in our house…they look so cushy and I love the patterns. Tiny Decor also has shop with green nursery items…it’s really quite lovely! Check it out here.
