I just returned from a trip to St. Charles, Illinois with my daughter, Ella. It’s about a 40 minute drive from our house…through some pretty serious countryside. We were invited to an open house for an adorable shop called Lola B’s Boutique. The owner, Kasey, is a fellow California native {she hates the Illinois winters as much as I do!}. She has a fantastic 100 year old home {photos here}, which is the perfect setting for her anthropologie-ish goodies! The Sweet Unfolding is an adorable shop for brides-to-be. If you or someone you know is going bridezilla looking for the perfect little additions to their wedding, then send them to this little online shop, and they are sure to find what they need. You can also find some nice eco-friendly items, and gifts too! They also participate in Kiva, which is a site that gives micro-loans to those in need. I love to see businesses giving back!
